Joseph Spero

Joe Spero has been around the mortgage business since 2011. His family’s company is one of the longest independently owned mortgage brokerages in Kane County, Illinois. Joe chose this work because he saw a chance to change people’s lives directly, by helping them finance one of the largest purchases they will ever make.

Plenty of loan officers with long résumés stop doing the little things. Joe never does. He returns every call the same day, keeps you updated at every step, and explains every number so nothing catches you off guard at closing.

The mortgage market changes daily, and Joe spends every day immersed in it, so the advice you get is current. He works with conventional and FHA loans, is an expert in investment financing such as DSCR loans, and knows the first-time buyer programs that offer down payment assistance of up to 5% of the loan amount.

Outside the office, Joe volunteers with Big Hearts of Fox Valley and provides lunches to people experiencing homelessness in Chicago every month. He and his wife of 11 years, Courtney, are raising their two daughters, Noelle and London.
